NEVER click on your own ads and never ask anybody else to do this either.  Many people think they are helping out friends or family by doing this but all you are heading towards a ban.  Just think, Google needs to protect it’s advertisers who spend billions of dollars with them so they have lots of technology in place to pick up patterns of behaviour.  There have even been groups setup on social networking sites like Facebook which encourage one another to click on each other’s ads, trust me, don’t be tempted.

This is a long-term business so you need to ensure that you keep updating your site with fresh content.  If you don’t you will probably lose rankings and your site will drop down the rankings.  In addition, another thing that would be a nightmare is not to build backlinks regularly.  Off-page SEO is one of the most important factors in driving up your rankings and traffic so if you neglect this, it will be an uphill battle.
