Ok, so Google seems to have updates its PageRank.  I’m pretty happy as it seems a lot of my hard work over the last few months has paid off.  ok so I didn’t get a huge amount of PR for my sites but to jump from 0 to 1,2 was good.  At least I know that next time I can aim for PR2 or 3.  I did have a 10 year old domain that was sitting on PR3 now jump up to PR4 which I was very happy about.  I basically made a great deal of links nofollow which I think attributed to lots of pagerank leaks.

Anyhow, how did I get these increases in PR?  A couple of things;

Good quality content: Pretty much all my pages have about 500 words of highly optimised content.  All pages add value to the user and aren’t just junk which I come across lots of AdSense/Affiliate based pages.

Profile Backlinks: I invested in creating many profile links on high PR (PageRank 4+) dofollow sites.  I certainly think these also helped.  Once these were created, I pinged them and created an RSS feed and then continually bookmarked them.

Article Directories: Nothing beats good valuable content.  Again, article writing is really time consuming so I hired a writer to write most of my content for me.  I then submitted these to article directories and web2.0 properties with a link back to my money sites.

Social Bookmarking: I basically bookmark everything that has my content or URLs on.

RSS Feeds:  I created rss feeds of all my pages (those that didn’t already have a  feed created)

Ok thats a qquick overview of my efforts over the last few months.  I’m hoping to write some detailed step by step tutorials on what I do and how to do it whenever I get the chance.
